I was a little nervous about whether it would work with my carrier before I bought it but the site explained things clearly. I checked my carrier first so I had a good idea of what to expect.

Getting it set up was easy. I just put in the SIM and it connected without me having to mess with much. Calls and texts worked like they normally do.

It’s just nice having a phone that handles the basics and still works with my plan. No hassle no big drama and that was exactly what I wanted.

My first impression wasn’t great. The service itself isn’t terrible, but the plan feels way too expensive for what you get. I was expecting something a little more reasonable, so the price kind of put me off right away...

The recent updates have made it better lately, so that’s nice. It still needs a few fixes, obviously, but at least it feels like someone’s finally paying attention.

The screen response is sluggish, and taps take longer to register than I expected. I can still use it, so I’m kind of making do, but it’s definitely not as smooth as I hoped.

I bought the Light Phone because I was hoping it would help me stop doom scrolling, it does a good job of that. I expected it to feel calmer than a regular phone, and it definitely does, no apps, no feeds, and nothing really pulling me in every few minutes.

That said, I thought it would be a little easier to use day to day. Texting feels slow, maps can be kind of clunky, and I still end up keeping my old phone around for certain things. I like the idea a lot, but it didn’t fully replace my regular phone the way I hoped it might.

The setup really tested my patience. The activation felt like it dragged on forever, and the instructions weren’t as clear as I expected. I did eventually get it working, but by that point I was already annoyed, so the whole experience just felt more stressful than it needed to be...

It does feel more privacy focused than a lot of other phones I’ve used but I still wish they were clearer about what data they collect and how they handle it. I like the idea of it I’m just not fully convinced yet.

I really wanted to love my Light Phone, i still appreciate the whole simple-phone concept. It feels nice not being pulled into apps all day, and I like how intentional it makes everything feel.

That said, texting has been frustrating. The keyboard feels slow, I make way more typos than I normally would, and even quick basic messages take more effort than they should. Group texts can also be annoying, with messages sometimes showing up weird or late. I still think the phone has a great purpose, but texting is such a basic feature that I really wish it worked more smoothly.

I really wanted to love this because the idea of a super small phone sounded so convenient. And yeah, it is easy to carry around. But I feel kind of embarrassed admitting how much I struggle with it day to day. Typing on it gets annoying fast, and I’ve actually lost it in my own bag more than once because it’s so small. Great for portability, but for regular daily use, it’s just not very comfortable for me.

The return process itself was simple, which I appreciated. But the refund took a lot longer than I expected, and that kind of made me lose a bit of trust. I don’t mind waiting a reasonable amount of time, but not knowing when the money would actually come back was frustrating.

I really wanted to like this phone because the whole less-distraction idea makes sense, and to be fair, I can see it working for someone who only needs the absolute basics. But for me, it ended up being more frustrating than helpful. Texting felt slower than it should, finding settings was kind of clunky, and the screen didn’t always respond the first time I tapped it. I kept having to tap things twice, which got old fast. It’s not a bad concept, but in everyday use it just didn’t fit me, so I ended up switching back to my old phone.

I charged it up in the morning and figured I’d probably need to plug it in again by the afternoon, but it actually surprised me. I used it on and off all day, checking messages, browsing, and doing the usual stuff, and it still had enough battery left by the evening. For my normal day-to-day use, it gets me through just fine without any stress.

I mostly use it for podcasts, it works really well for that. Music syncing took a little longer than I expected, but what doesn’t need a bit of patience these days? Overall, it does the job well.

I really wanted the Light Phone to be my little escape from smartphone chaos, like the hero in my tech detox story. But the software has been the twist villain. It randomly freezes, syncs painfully slowly, and there are times when calls or texts just don’t show up right away. I love the simplicity in theory, but in day-to-day use it doesn’t always feel dependable. For the price, I expected it to be a lot more stable.

I picked up the Light Phone because I was fed up with giant screens, endless apps, and all the ridiculous little notifications pulling me in every five minutes. The design is really clean and simple, and there’s something kind of calming about using a phone that isn’t constantly trying to entertain you. It slips into my pocket easily and just feels low-key in the best way.

The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that there’s definitely an adjustment period. A few basic things feel slower compared to a regular smartphone, which can be a little annoying at first. But if you’re buying it because you want a more minimal phone, it pretty much does exactly what it’s supposed to do

Getting my contacts synced was simple, and most of it worked without much effort. I’ve used my usual brand’s tools for years, so I kept comparing everything to what I’m used to. A few edits felt clunky here and there, which made me hesitate a bit, but overall it got the job done without causing a headache.

The calendar does what I need for the most part, but the alarm features feel a little too basic. It works, just nothing special. What really gets annoying is having to go through verification over and over again. I get the security thing, but it starts to feel like a hassle when I’m just trying to check or set something quickly

I tried using it to get directions and honestly, it just made things worse. I ended up getting lost twice, and the whole thing felt slow and confusing. Not really worth the hassle.

I really wanted to like this phone, but the group messaging is just a mess. Texts show up out of order, replies get split into random separate threads, and I keep missing parts of conversations. This whole group-chat disaster should not be happening on a phone at this price. Frustrating...

I had a small issue with my order. Support got back to me quicker than I thought they would. It took one more email to fix it. But they were helpful and friendly.
